Tess Barker hails from Southern California, where she grew up in an electric blue house. She also attended zoo camp, where she was 'marked,' by a lion, and performed in dance recitals at the local mental institution: all facts that led her to realize early on that she didn't choose comedy, comedy chose her.
As an adult, she continued to enjoy this fate, studying sketch and improv at the prestigious Groundlings in Hollywood, and reading her comedic essays on the Comedy Central stage and at other writer's salons. Her comedy scripts have earned her accolades in a number of screenwriting competitions. She is a contracted contributer at iklipz.com, where several of her videos have been number one featured on youtube. She has performed stand up at Hollywood's Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory, and at venues and schools through out the country.
